Délice de Bourgogne is a decadent, soft-ripened triple-cream cow's milk cheese from the Burgundy region of France. 
Created in 1975 by blending full-fat milk with crème fraîche, it features several distinct characteristics: 
  • Texture: Velvet-like, rich, and spreadable—very similar to whipped cream.
  • Flavor: Buttery and mildly sweet with a slight lactic tang. It has a thin, snowy-white edible rind that gives off a savory, mushroom-like aroma.
  • Fat Content: It is classified as a triple-cream cheese, meaning it contains at least 75% butterfat in dry matter.
  • Pairings: Best served at room temperature with crusty bread, fresh fruit, or paired with dry sparkling wines and Champagne
